The pharmaceutical company SINCROFARM has entrusted OYTEC with the digitalisation of operations at its two manufacturing plants, covering both pharmaceutical and nutraceutical production. With this project, the company aims to automate and maximise the integrity of its operations while optimising and improving its industrial management model.
Founded in 1990, SINCROFARM is a contract manufacturing and packaging services company for medicines and food supplements for both human and veterinary use. It has state-of-the-art machinery and a total floor area of 7,200 m2, split across two buildings: one for medicines manufacturing and one for nutraceuticals. It has the capacity to handle everything from small and medium-sized batches, with practical, versatile and agile mechanisation, through to large-scale manufacturing, in compliance with GMP certifications for both pharmaceutical products and food supplements/nutraceuticals.
The digitalisation project launched by SINCROFARM covers every area and department of the plant, ranging from replacing the paper batch record with an Electronic Batch Record (eBR), through the digitalisation of laboratory operations (LIMS), to real-time efficiency monitoring (OEE) of its production plants.
Beyond eliminating paper from the plant, this comprehensive digitalisation process launched by SINCROFARM will deliver a significant improvement in the consistency and integrity of operations, a considerable reduction in process deviations and a major reduction in Electronic Batch Record review times. In projects of this kind, significant improvements can be expected in:
⦁ Batch Record review times reduced by more than 75% thanks to Real-Time Review by Exception.
⦁ Reductions of more than 75% in Batch Record and laboratory deviations/investigations.
⦁ Performance improvements of around 10% on filling/packaging lines
⦁ Data entry times reduced by around 75%.
In this way, SINCROFARM aims to have fully digitalised, “Paperless” facilities, ensuring the integrity of its operations and excellence in its management processes in order to provide an outstanding service to its customers.
